Web Publishing Data

Before you can publish data you must first Login.  Once you have logged in, more tabs will become active on the Web Publishing screen and one of these if for publishing data.  Clicking on that tab will display the following:

This is the screen in which you will select the reports you wish to publish.  You can publish standings, schedule reports, statistic reports and contact reports.  There is also an entry for Seasons which is a bit special and different from the others and is described further in the document.   If you select Schedules for example, you will see a listing of all your schedule reports that you have saved this season in the software.  If the report has a check beside it, then that report has been found on the Analyzer Web Publishing database and indicates that the reports has previously been published.

How do I Publish a Report?

Simple, check the report and click the Publish button...that is it.  You can check any number of reports and publish one or more at the same time.  If you change report formats (like the name of a column or the width of the report, then you can check the box "Publish Format Only" and only the report format will be published and not any of the data.  The software publishes not only just report data, but core software data such as all the teams, divisions, programs, etc. that are maybe not directly report specific but are required by the report to display properly.  Therefore, the publishing of core data is required the first time you publish, but not necessarily every time.  If you have published the core data for schedule reports, then go to publish standings, you do not need to publish core data again.  You can uncheck the box and the publishing process will run a little faster.  If your league is not large (less than 100 teams), you probably do not need to worry about the time savings in not publishing core data everytime.  For large leagues (500+ teams) you will notice a time saving in not publishing core data every time.

How do I Remove a Report?

You may have previously published a report that you no longer want available.  To remove or UnPublish a report, check the report to be removed and click the UnPublish button.

What is the Seasons Functional Area used for?

The season option does not actually publish any data.  It is used to control the number of active teams that you have published within Web Publishing.  It is the number of active teams that is tied to the package you have purchased and the monthly fees that you pay.

When you first select the Seasons Functional Area, you will probably see no Seasons listed.  A Season is only listed if you have published some data for that season.  Once data has been published for a season, it will appear in this list as an active season.  An active season can have its data displayed on your web site.  All the teams assigned to a division in an active season are considered active and count towards your team package quota.  In order to make a season active or inactive, simply check the box to the left of the season and click the Publish button.  An inactive season published becomes active and an active season published becomes inactive.  When a season becomes inactive none of the data previously published is altered so when a season later becomes active all previously published data is as it was.

How is my Web Publishing Package monitored?

Your Web Publishing package is based on the number of teams that have been published in Active Seasons.  Whenever you publish data from a season, the number of teams that are assigned to divisions are published to the web and added to the total for all active seasons published.  Since packages are based on the number of teams published, we monitor the total teams published against the maximum number of teams that you signed up for.  When you exceed the maximum number of teams in your package, you will be contacted and we will help get yours teams down or upgrade your package.  You will never be prevented from publishing too many teams.  As this is a new service, we strongly encourage you to visit our web site at www.analyzersoftware.com for the latest pricing and monitoring news.
