Teams have been set up, assigned to divisions and fieldlocation availability slots have been created. Now your league schedule can be developed. The first step is to add a new schedule record. See the Schedule maintenance help topic for details. Once the schedule record has been added, the parameters for the schedule can be modified. Once done, the first step of schedule generation is performed, the generation of individual calendar game slots. A listing of the number of calendar game slots per fieldlocation is displayed in the Grid. Next click the Generate Games button to generate all of the games to be scheduled. With either of these functions, if the number of slots or games does not appear to be correct, you can alter the parameters and try again without affecting the other. If there is a possible feasible match between games required and available game slots, the schedule is verified as OK.
Next, the "Match Games to Slots" function can be used on the "Assign to Slots" tab. The software allows assignment of games to game slots in several ways. First you can manually assign games to game slots. This is accomplished by first highlighting the game slot and game to be assigned together, followed by clicking the Assign Game to Slot Button. Of course you can let the software do all the work and do a best effort matching of games to locations based on your input parameters. Schedules created can be viewed, modified, deleted and created again…when finally finished, the schedule is committed and the rest of the software can see it.
Once a schedule is created, officials can be assigned to games.
