Step 3: Entering Team Information

Either before or after your League is set up, you can enter all of the teams that are participating in that league. Again, like many screens, the Teams screen has several tabs with a multitude of data. Depending on the League options, some tabs and datafields may or may not be present. See Leagues for a listing of options and the effects of each in the software.

The software is season based in that it tracks a single season at a time. All of the data that you view are for a single season. However, when starting a new season, you can copy teams and players from prior seasons forward. Being the first time you are using the software, you will be entering team information for the first time or importing existing team data into the software from some external data source. Start by entering the team name, any contact information and clicking ‘Save’. Enter all of the teams participating in the league. You can click ‘New’ to start with a blank record when adding or you can just change the team name and other information and click "SaveNew" to save a new record.  This is a time savings feature on most screen in this software, but be careful because if you click "Save" instead of "SaveNew" then you will erase the previous teams data.  If you type over an existing team and click ‘Save’ you will rename the previously entered team. After all teams have been entered you can now assign them to divisions setting up your league structure.
