This screen gives you options to display the columns you wish to show for your standings, change the headings, titles, footer and other data. You can view either divisional or league standings. League standings combine all teams from all divisions. When viewing in league format, a checkbox will appear allowing you to always seed the divisional leaders first before any non-division leading teams.
The standings date will always default to todays date. If you change the date into the past, it will only display games up to and including the date selected.
In the Columns grid, select the fields you wish to display in your standings. Enter the order the column is to appear and the width. Most important is the Display Label which is the heading the standings will use for that column. One field, Past 10 Games, can be changed to display the last X games with the text box next to the grid providing input as to what number of past games to include. There is a report title and footer text which is displayed on every page. When all parameters are entered, click the "Generate Standings" link to generate the standings which will be displayed in a grid. When you Generate Standings, the parameters for this league will be saved. Each league can have its own set of parameters.
When you go to print the standings, you will print the view that is currently displayed (either divisional/league). When printing, there is a checkbox allowing the standings to be printed with each division on a separate page and to exclude tie breaker notes.
If you have generated standings and wish to change the headings or formatting of columns you have chosen, make the changes, save them, then click the 'Apply Column Change' link to refresh the columns without regenerating the report.
The order that teams are displayed is based on how you decided to display standings for that league. If you are using winning percentage, then teams are list in winning percentage order from highest to lowest. Using GB (games behind) teams are listed from least games behind to the most. Note, you can use both GB and winning Percentage, however, order is solely based on GB. If using Points, points are calculated based on wins, losses, ties and overtime losses. The teams with the most points are list first.
If there are any ties, then the tie breakers are evaluated using our Tie Breaking Procedure until the ties are broken. If the software is required to break ties, the Standings will show at which step the tie was broken.
Web Publishing
Not all web publishing of your data has to occur on the Web Publishing screens. On the screens where Web Publishing Supports the publishing of data, there will be additional fields to support and customize the publishing of data. On the Standings Screen, there are two fields:
Template Name: You can add a number of different templates through the Web Publishing Look and Feel screens. For each League you wish to publish standings for, you can select to use the default or a customized template.
Publish Button: This button may be active or inactive. If the button is active then you simply click the button to publish the standings for the listed League. If the button is inactive you must sign into web publishing from the login screen. In order to login, you must first sign up for the web publishing service through www.analyzersoftware.com.
