The software allows the printing of contact labels. This dialogue was once available from a number of screen and now is only available from the Contact Printing Dialogue. When you click the "Print Labels" link on the contact printing dialogue, this label print dialogue will appear.
There are four fields in yellow type face. Program Concept Name (this is the name you give this), Team Name, Location Name and League Name. Checking these boxes will display this field, if the contact being printed supports this field. For example, League Contacts do not support a Team Name and if that box is checked, no Team Name is displayed for a League Contact. If you select Team Name and League Name, then a Player will have both printed since a Player can belong to a Team which belongs to a League.
The first data entry box allows you to specify what address conditions must be met to generate a label. Since you may have some leagues that do not provide address information, those can be skipped. You might also want to print labels that have postal or zip code information together as bulk mailings with those addresses may provide discounts. There is another isolated checkbox to allow the printing of state or province short names (NY instead of New York or ON instead of Ontario).
The second group of checkboxes allows you to indicate what data you want printed on the label.
You can also determine the font to be used for printing. Click the Font button and you can select font type, size, bolding, etc. A sample will be shown on the form. All remaining boxes are for defining the labels that will be inserted into the printer. Print samples first as the printer itself will have default margins that must be taken into consideration. Also, label packaging does not always detail the correct label sizing.
