This dialogue will allow you to search for the different contacts in the software. Contacts could be any of players, player contacts, team contacts, officials, league contacts, program contacts or playing location contacts. When you click find from either the Reports menu bar or the tool bar you will see the following dialogue.
The use of this dialogue is straightforward. Enter search criteria for the Last Name, First Name or Keywords. Any conditions entered must all be satisfied. Therefore if you enter "Smith" in the Last Name field and "register" in the Keyword 1 field, then the software will look for all contacts that have the last name starting with "Smith" and containing the word "register" in the Keywords field. Both last name and first name search fields will search for characters starting with those entered in the search box. If you wish to search for all contacts with the Last Name starting with "b", then enter "b" into the Last Name field and click Search. Keywords is slightly different as it will search for any occurrence of the search data entered. So a Search for a keyword of "register" will return a record if the keywords field contained "player registered on May 17th" or "pre-registered".
After entering all search criteria, click the Search button to return a list of contacts with the contact area and contact type listed. Only those contacts checked in the Search Contact Areas are returned. Double clicking any of the contacts returned will take you to that contacts record on the appropriate screen in the software.
Printing
Click the print button to print the currently displayed contact search results along with the search conditions used.
