This software tracks seasons independently from one another. However, there can be many similarities between seasons: same teams and/or same players. Therefore, the software provides the ability to copy information from one season to another. The software does not point players record from a prior season to the new season. If that was done, then changing information in one season would change it in the prior season, which is undesirable. Instead, the software will make a copy of a players record, from any prior season, and bring it to the current season. The same can be done with teams.
The database that you use for your software can be used with any of our sports. If you have purchased two different versions of our software, they can both run against the same database and players from one sport can be imported to the other.
When on the Teams screen, you can use the Edit menu option (as shown above) to copy teams and players from a prior season to the current season. When the menu option is clicked, a dialogue box is displayed with a listing of leagues, season, teams and their players.
Check each team and player you wish to copy from a prior season to the current season. If you check a team, automatically all players of that team are checked. Click the Copy Team and Players button and the teams and players data from the prior season is copied to the current season.
In addition to just team data being copied, if the season being copied from had a statistic reports saved for that team, the report will be copied. Similarly, if the team in the prior season used a fieldlocation as their exclusive home fieldlocation, then that information is also carried forward.
