Now every person stored in the software is a contact. Players and Officials are special contacts in that they have many additional fields associated with them other than base address and contact information (like phone numbers and email addresses). Players, teams, leagues, and programs can have contacts associated with them. The following are the contact fields available for all contacts in the software.
All fields are available for printing through our Contact Printing dialogue. There is also a Find Contacts function that uses the First Name, Last Name and Keywords field to search for all contacts in the software. It is important that you use the keywords field consistently to benefit optimally from this search function.
There are some predefined contact types in the system. If you wish to change either player or league contact types, go to the Preferences Screen and update tables through the Maintenance Table Tab.
In order to view a contact, use the previous and next buttons to move forwards and backwards through contact records or Select a contact from the Existing Contact Picklist at the top. To add a new contact, click ‘New’, add the required fields and click ‘Save’. Or if a record is already displayed, change the data for the new record and click ‘SaveNew.
If you wish to delete a contact, display the contact you wish to delete, then you can click the ‘Delete’ button to delete it. The previous contact will now be displayed. If the contact was the Primary Contact on either the Leagues, Team or Programs screen, there will no longer be a primary contact.
