Checking for Updates

The software can automatically check for updates on the Analyzer Web Site.  In order to use this function, you must be connected to the Internet.  If not, the software will give you a message indicating it could not check for updates.  You can check for updates two different ways.  On the Preferences screen, you can elect to have the software automatically check for upgrades every time the software starts up or you can check for it manually using the option under the help menu on the Menu bar.

 

If there are no updates, the software will provide a message (only if checking manually).  If there is an upgrade or a message from Analyzer Software, you will see the upgrade page displayed from the Analyzer Web Site.

 

In order to install an available update, click the "Download" button to download the upgrade from our site down to your computer.  Once the download is complete, simply execute the upgrade file downloaded, through either the Start|Run option or double clicking the file through you windows file explorer.

 

Once the software update has been installed, you may or may not have to restart your computer.  The next time you start up the software, any database updates will automatically be applied and the new version will be operational.
