Collaborating Creative Directors, Project Managers and Clients, our Architect role requires an individual with strong client and server side technology skills to deliver on all phases of a project's lifecycle. This individual will be responsible for architecting all solutions, documenting those solutions for our clients and managing small teams to ensure the successful implementation of multiple projects.

  • Skills/Qualifications
  • Bachelors' degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 5 years of web application development experience using HTML and object-oriented JavaScript and DHTML.
  • 5 years experience with application-server template scripting and programming is required; LAMP (Linux/Apache/MySQL/PHP) is required. JSP and ASP are also preferred.
  • 2 years experience with Flash and other rich media applications and protocols (including flash applications with Actionscripting).
  • Knowledge of Windows and Macintosh operating systems and associated browsers, applications and utilities.
  • Experience with version control, issue tracking, and build/release management is desired.
  • Ability to perform within a highly parallel, task/module oriented project team.
  • Experience authoring formal specifications and related documents.
  • Ability to deliver projects on time, with high quality, and within budget.
  • Experience in participating in multiple consulting or development engagements in parallel.
  • Ability to deliver full life cycle engagements.
  • Ability and desire to thrive in a high-pressure, client-services driven environment.
  • Responsibilities
  • Delivering projects on time and within budget, and with high quality.
  • Develop client side interfaces using HTML/DHTML, PHP, Flash and others as required.
  • Develop server side programming using PHP/Pear and templating technologies.
  • Ability to interact server side code with back-end databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, etc).
  • Writing technical specifications as required, meeting the objectives of functional specifications. Specifically, identifying interfaces, methods, parameters, procedures or functions as required.
  • Designing and developing the Template Architecture, and other relevant portions of the Architecture and Technical Specifications
  • Assisting the Project Managers and Architects in the development of the functional specification of client projects.
  • Working collaboratively with the creative staff to decide interface implementation details and rich media interfaces
  • Working with the creative team to verify designs are web safe.
  • Tracking and reporting on all personal tasks and time.
